Cockapoo Club of America

Since 1982 (and even before then) Cockapoos have been increasing in demand and popularity. There is a dedicated group of people and breeders diligently working to establish the Cockapoo as its own breed and developing the breed standard. Part of this work also involves establishing an organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of the Cockapoo breed. The Cockapoo Club of America seeks to inform and educate all interested about Cockapoos, maintain the breed standard, serve as a dog registry for the breed, offer information on dog and puppy care, and provide breeder certification and referrals. Membership will soon be offered for members at large/owners and for breeders, as well as the dog registry. The Club will eventually operate as a not-for-profit organization. Benefits will include news and information, breeder registration and certification, dog registration and further development of the Club web site.

Establishment of the Club is underway, having been begun in early 1999. A group of people representing breeders, owners and professionals came together in the spring of 1999 as the Advisory Committee and began laying out the foundations of the Club. You see the results on these pages and they keep increasing on a regular basis. We would like your input - ideas, suggestions, etc. as it is developed in order to make it a useful source of information and benefits to both owners and breeders. Please take a moment to complete the surveys found on this site, and to let us know any other thoughts or hopes you have for the organization.

Club Administration:

The club was founded by LT/Col Mary D. Foley, USA (ret) in 1998. It is currently served by an all volunteer Advisory Board and funded by the president. A small income is raised by the sale of breeder lists and information. Plans are under way to incorporate as a not-for-profit organization and it will then be served by a Board of Directors.

HOW YOU CAN HELP NOW: By making purchases online through the links on the web site to online affiliates (books, CDs, videos, baby needs, toys and kids' needs, health and beauty needs, natural care products....) the club will benefit with a percentage of each purchase. Donations are always welcome but at this time, not tax deductible.

Membership:

Opening soon for Cockapoo supporters and breeders. Benefits will include a Newsletter and a CCA Certificate of Membership.
