My Breeding Philosophy

     I was lucky enough to be introduced to the Cockapoo breed when I was growing up.  I've been hooked ever since!  I believe they are the best breed around. 

     Here at Wallace Family Cockapoos, we are trying to make dogs that will be great companions.  Cockapoo's crave human companionship, that's why we believe that it's important to raise our puppies in a family environment with lots of cuddling and socialization from the very beginning.  Up until they are about six weeks old, we have them right in the house with us so they can get used to household noises and lots of petting and holding.  They learn to love this very quickly.  We keep only a small number of dogs and have litters about twice a year.  We feel that it is important to give each dog the attention that it deserves.

     We have gone to great lengths to acquire dogs that will produce the best traits of the Cocker Spaniel and the Poodle.  All of our dogs have an annual CERF exam to certify that they are free of genetic eye disease and have been OFA certified to be free of genetic patellar luxation.  We are a Four Star Rated Cockapoo Club of America breeder, puppies qualify for the official Cockapoo Club of America Registry as CCA American Cockapoos™. We guarantee all of our puppies and if for some reason it doesn't work out, please return the puppy.  We don't ever want to find out that one of our dogs had to be taken to a shelter because it was unwanted.  You don't come across very many Cockapoo's at shelters because they are awful hard not to fall in love with.
